Video clip floating over background
Clipstream Video offers web designers the ability
to display a background image 'underneath' the video or to float the video
over a chosen background. As well, different background images can be
displayed depending on what video is playing. In addition, the location
of the video can be specified.
What is the VideoBackground parameter?
The VideoBackground
(VideoURLEX#)
parameter is a way of floating a video over a chosen .jpg or .gif graphic.
While this can be accomplished using CSS or table, it is easier to change
in parameters than in redesigning web layout. Also, in advertising deployments
it means you can change ad layout from ad server host rather than at the
website end which is not usually possible.
VideoBackground Demo
The demo below is a mockup in which the video floats within a virtual 'player'
frame.
VideoBackground Adjusted Layout
Without reencoding the video, changing the background graphic or changing
the .html code, the position of the video can be changed. In this case the
video clip is now positioned at the origin (0,0).
Individual VideoBackground for each bitrate
Each bitrate can have a different videobackground. This is useful to adjust
the layout to match a smaller or larger video clip, for example, making
a different sized frame. Each background image can have a different positioning.
