After successfully encoding a .vcs file, upload and
host it.
If you haven't already, learn how to encode a Clipstream™
Video clip (.vcs) file on
this page before
continuing with this step-by-step guide.
The default encode of a Clipstream™ Video movie
will output the following
required files:
- a Clipstream™ Video .vcs file - the actual movie file
- a .js file - a javascript file that contains the code that operates
the player
- a panelimages.jpg - the graphic that becomes the buttonset interface
- a clipstreamvideo.zip - this is the tiny program that plays the movie
- a clipstreamvideo.cab, clipstreamvideo_signed.cab - variations on
the .zip for different implementations of the player
- a .jpg that is a screen capture of one of the frames of the video
(you can specify which frame it captures)
- a default web page with embedded Clipstream™ Video Java applet
code
You will need these files for Clipstream™ Video to work from a website.
In addition, you will need the following:
- an FTP program such as WS_FTP, Dreamweaver, Fetch
- Notepad or other code editor
- access to webspace on a webserver

2. Type in the location of the .html page that you have
uploaded into the Address field of your browser.
Make sure the address includes the name of the web page that you uploaded.
3. The page should display in your browser like it did
at the end of the Quick Start guide only this time it will be streaming
from the Internet, not from your hard drive.
