After acquiring a clip serial number, you can enter
it into your Clipstream Video Encoder, specify a clip to publish,
and apply other options before authorizing the clip for use on the Internet.
If you have not already acquired a serial number for your per-clip license,
go Back a step:
Requirements
- Existing Clipstream video (.vcs) files
- Clipstream Video Encoder 3
- Clipstream serial number
Configuring your clip to be published
To publish the clip, go to the Publish dialog, apply a serial number and/or
domain.
- In the Encoder, click the Publish button
The Publish dialog will appear.
- Beside the "Select .vcs file" field, click the Browse
button and find a .vcs file from your final encode
- Beside the "Select output folder" field, click the Browse
button and select a local destination for your files
- Paste the purchased serial number into the "Serial Number" field

Use the drop down to choose from an existing one.
If you are publishing as part of a Domain-specific / multiple
clip license then Enter in the domain in the "URL to Serve the
VCS" field.
Note: follow this syntax: "www.yourdomain.com"

Use the drop down to choose from an existing one.
If you are securing your clips with our optional SID package,
- enter in the provided SID key into the "Security ID (SID)" field.
- Check the "Save" box if you wish to use it in the future.
- Click OK to begin publishing.
Publishing the clip
- A dialog will open informing you about the SID security feature. Click
OK to continue.
A new dialog will open showing the progress of the Publishing.
The dialog shows you what files are being published, where they will
be saved, the progress of the job and how many credits you have remaining
after the clip is finished.
- Click OK after the job is over.
If you look in the location where you specified the file to be saved
you will see a newly created output folder.
- Open the published folder.
Inside you will see a new .vcs file. Use this new .vcs file in place
of the pre-published version.
